The Muslim World League Commends Saudi Arabia's Efforts to Foster De-escalation Between India and Pakistan

The Muslim World League (MWL) has fully supported and commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to encourage calm and de-escalate tensions between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, praised the visit of His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Envoy for Climate Affairs, to both India and Pakistan on May 8–9, 2025. The visit was made under the directive of the Kingdom’s wise leadership as part of its efforts to de-escalate tensions, end military confrontations, and open channels for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve all disputes.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa expressed confidence in the Kingdom’s diplomacy, under the guidance of its wise leadership, its significant international standing and relations, and its proven record in promoting security, stability, and peace both regionally and globally. He called on both countries to prioritize wisdom and the interests of their peoples, and to respond positively to Saudi Arabia’s commendable efforts to spare both nations and the region from further escalation.
