The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemns the horrific crimes and violations targeting civilians during the Rapid Support Forces’ attacks on El-Fasher, Sudan.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, reiterated the MWL’s urgent call to adhere to the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration on the protection of civilians. Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the need to pursue serious and effective dialogue to end this devastating war that has brought immense suffering upon the people of Sudan. He further called for rejecting all efforts to inflame and prolong the conflict and its grave repercussions for the Sudanese people, their unity, and their capabilities.
